As well as working hard in English, Maths. Gaeilge and all of the other things we have to learn about in school, we've had super fun this week exploring the world of trees and the changes that happen to them in Autumn.
We wrote our own tree books, and took them home to show everyone! We built amazing woodland structures with twigs and mala and sequenced the brilliant story 'The Squirrels who Squabbled'. Well done also to Jack and Emma, who the class elected as our Student Council members for this year! Have a super weekend everyone.

It has been a great week, and we've worked hard to develop our reading and writing skills whilst writing our 'Hibernating Animals' books. We found out loads of interesting things... but I'll leave that to the children to tell you! Today, we learned what our new topic is going to be for the next couple of weeks..
Autumn! We talked about what we know about autumn already, and what we would like to find out about this wonderful season as well. Some of the questions we hope to answer are;
We went into the woods to explore and collect leaves for Art. It was a fabulous chance to experience Autumn in its windy glory! We found leaves, pine cones, conkers, berries, fungi and a squirrel was even spotted! |
